KAMELOT: New Album Nearing Completion
August 6, 2004KAMELOT guitarist Thomas Youngblood has posted the following studio update on the band's official web site:
"We are nearing the end of our visit to Germany and we are very, very pleased with the sessions. [Vocalist Roy] Khan has once again surpassed himself and the vocals are killer! Guitars are quite killer if I do say so myself ;) We are planning some very special appearances on the album but I cannot reveal anymore details yet. We also had a great meeting with SPV Records in Hannover and the plans for the release and world tour are right on schedule. Some more titles for ya, 'Pride' and a beautiful piano ballad titled 'Abandoned'. We are planning the orchestral players for this one now."
As previously reported, the follow-up to last year's "Epica" is tentatively due before the end of the year through SPV Records. Other songtitles set to appear on the CD include "March of Mephisto", "Nothing Ever Dies" and "Serenade". A Japanese tour will likely take place in December, to be followed by a European trek beginning in January 2005. New studio shots can be viewed online at this location.
